Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

 

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service aims to provide patients, carers and families with on the spot help and information to help them get speedy resolutions or immediate solutions of any problems about NHS matters.

 

PALS is run jointly by Morecambe Bay Hospitals NHS Trust and Morecambe Bay Primary Care Trust and covers all local health services including the hospitals, mental health services and family health services.

 

PALS officers are based are based at the three main hospitals in Barrow, Kendal and Lancaster – and also visit clinics and other community premises.

If you need to see someone, ring PALS and they will make arrangements that suit you.

 

PALS can give you information about all NHS services across Morecambe Bay, help sort out any concerns you have as quickly as possible, listen to what you have to say about local health services, make sure the NHS finds out from you what works well and what needs changing, advise and support you if you want to make a complaint and involve you in planning local health services.
