This publication was originally produced by Lancaster District Council for Voluntary Service. Many thanks must go to them for all the hard work and innovative ideas from all those who have found it an invaluable resource over the years.

  Most of the work of updating the information for this edition, and adding new information was done by Julia Reay 

( Project Manager, Lonsdale District Carers) and Ina Acres (Chair, Forum for the Older Person).  

We are grateful for the feedback we received about the previous edition.  While some people just let us know how much they liked the directory, others made specific recommendations, most of which have been included in this edition.
