For someone whose eyesight is restricted or who is blind, there is a range of help available:

 

·        Equipment to help with daily living, e.g. clocks which work by sound or touch

·        Newspapers and books on tape

·        Social gatherings for people who are blind or partially sighted, which give an opportunity to exchange tips and ideas

·        Telephone Befriending Scheme

·        Specialist workers who can give information and advice

·        Travel discounts and/or other financial help may be available

·        TV licence concessions
