There is a range of equipment available for loan which can help with
practical tasks, for example:

Gadgets to help with eating
or getting dressed

Walking frames; hoists; bed

This type of equipment is available from the Community Loan Store but you
need to be referred to the store by your doctor first.

If you want advice on what is available and what would help in your
situation, contact the Occupational Therapists or a Social
Worker.
The local branch of the British Red Cross has outlets in Morecambe and
Carnforth and offers wheelchairs, commodes, bedpans and male urinals for
short-term loan. Walking sticks or crutches are not available.
It is best to ring up and ask in advance if possible.
