Blue Badges offer certain parking concessions for any car used by a
disabled person. Application forms
are available from the Lancaster and Morecambe offices of Social Services.
People who are registered blind or in receipt of Mobility Allowance or
Disabled Living Allowance (Mobility higher rate) are automatically entitled to
an Orange / Blue Badge. For details of Mobility Allowance, contact the Citizens
Advice Bureau or the Welfare Rights Service.
Between 10:30 – 16:30 only Badge Holders with a Permit ‘A’ issued
by the City Council may enter Lancaster Pedestrian Zone. Permit ‘A’s are
only issued to Badge holders over 65 or people whose vehicle is exempt from tax
duty. Application forms for a Permit ‘A’ are available from the Disablement
Information and Support Centre or:
