CARERS DIRECTORY
Lancaster City
Council has a 24-hour emergency alarm system available to people of all ages
and/or disabilities who live within the Lancaster District and who wish to
remain as independent as possible within their own home.
The personal alarm
system enables the user to call for help in an emergency 24 hours a day.
The system is connected to a telephone and provides the user with a
pendant to press when calling for help.
Cost: There is a charge for the
equipment but this will vary depending on if you are buying or hiring the
equipment and also what your financial circumstances are.
Once you have the system installed there is a weekly monitoring charge
(this is £1.55).
Further information
For further
information on how the system works and its cost contact the older person's
officer at the address below, who will arrange for a free home demonstration.
Optional extras such as intruder alarms may also be available.
