furniture and a fund-raising shop. It is also able to offer an insurance scheme
for older people through Age Concern Lancashire and can provide information from

Rainbow Centre: in Morecambe, Age Concern runs the Rainbow Centre, a community centre
for the over 55s which offers a wide range of leisure activities, a luncheon
club and a house-bound club. Age

Age Concern
Lancashire provides services for older people and their carers in the rural
parts of North Lancashire.
Information
You can call in or telephone the office in Carnforth Monday to Fridays
between 10:00 – 3:00pm for information and advice.
Equipment Loan
Wheelchairs and other equipment are available on loan from the Carnforth office.

Handy-person Service
The Handy-person
Service is available to help older people with small household and garden
maintenance tasks. If you live in Carnforth or the surrounding areas you may be
able to get help.
Visiting and Sitting Service
This service provides
company and friendship for older people who may be housebound or isolated, and
aims to give carers of older people relief from their caring duties.
Shopping Service
A volunteer can take
older people shopping to their local supermarket.
Rural Carers Group
The Rural Carers
Group meets for lunch, a chat and to share information. For details ring Age
