Disablement Information and Support Centre (DISC)

 

The Disablement Information and Support Centre (DISC) is a voluntary organization which provides local information, advice and support to people with disabilities and their carers.  They have a range of information on things such as holidays, equipment, travel, local and national services and support groups. 

 

A database of national and local information on all aspects of disability called Inches is also held at DISC in Lancaster and Signposts in Morecambe, and is available for use by (or on behalf of) the public.  DISC also has a database of funds available to disabled individuals in need. 

 

DISC organize a befriending/visiting service called "Friends".
