  Direct Payments

The Direct Payments Act now allows for Social Services to make payments directly to adults who need care so that they can make their own arrangements.

Booklets explaining how the Lancashire system works are now available from Social Services, Lonsdale District Carers and the Disablement Information and Support Centre.

The Department of Health produce booklets on direct payments including, "an easy guide to Direct Payments".  These are also available on tape and CD ROM.
